(ii) Tears

In Russian Fairy Tales Baba Yaga is a little more complex than just the traditional witch that eats children. She does, of course, eat them, but not always and the stories include aspects such as kindness and asking the right question as elements that can contribute to survival. Baba Yaga also travels in a mortar and pestle propelled by a birch broom and has a number of strange "Soul Friends" that support her. The hut with hen's legs is also an interesting aspect.
